Itinerary

Marina Grande

Meet the guide at the harbour that will deal with the tickets of the hydrofoil. It takes 50 minutes from Naples and 25 minutes from Sorrento. After the crossing you’ll land to Marina Grande, the main harbour of Capri Island. It’s the island’s third biggest town and due to its facilities it is much more frequented by tourists.

Anacapri

From Marina Grande a taxi will head to Anacapri centre, located in the western part of the island. It’s surrounded by olive groves and vineyards and it is a peaceful tourist resort crossed by pleasant narrow streets that characterize the historic centre. You will discover the beauties of this pretty village getting to the Belvedere and the Phoenician staircase. Also a must are the Villa St. Michael owned by the Swedish medical doctor Axel Munthe and the chairlift to Mount Solaro for a 360 degree view of the island on a clear day.

Capri

Re-board the cab for a brief drive to Capri, the main centre, more charming and elegant. You’ll enjoy another gorgeous view from a huge terrace overlooking the port of Capri before crossing the world-renowned Piazzetta (tiny square). It is the beating heart of the town and one of the most famous places of the island: among the tables of the coffè bars you can meet tourists and artists, common people and great names, all attracted by the simple beauty of this area.  Time at your disposal for lunch.

From the Piazzetta we’ll reach together the Augustus Gardens, the most panoramic spot of Capri centre located on a terrace above the sea and set in luxuriant vegetation. From the Gardens you’ll enjoy a breathtaking view of Faraglioni rocks and Krupp road.

The last transfer to the harbour can be taken by Funicular (cable car) which is the shortest route to the harbour: in five minutes it covers a distance of 650 m. crossing the lush vegetation.

The hydrofoil will take you back to Naples or Sorrento

We originally booked tours for Pompeii and Capri before arriving in Italy. After our first day with Ilaria and Antonio we asked if they were available for a third day to take us to The Amalfi Coast. They are both wonderful. Antonio is a wonderful person and great and very accommodating driver. Ilaria is very knowledgable, friendly and accomodating. We hope to stay in touch and would recommend them to anyone visiting. The private tours are the only way to see Italy.
