As you continue, you’ll discover remarkable details such as original Roman roads, stepping stones, and wheel marks left by ancient chariots. You may also visit iconic sites like the House of the Vettii, a beautifully preserved Roman residence showcasing stunning frescoes and refined decoration.

MOUNT VESUVIUS

After exploring Pompeii, your journey continues to the legendary Mount Vesuvius, the volcano that forever changed history.

Your driver will take you up to approximately 1,000 meters, where the road ends. From there, you will enjoy a scenic 25–30 minute walk to reach the crater.

At the summit, you will be rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views over the Bay of Naples. A local volcanological guide will provide insights into the geology and activity of this still-active volcano, making the experience both educational and memorable.

After your visit, you will meet your driver at the same meeting point and enjoy a relaxing transfer back to your accommodation.

Antonio Cafiero was the absolute best. There is absolutely no reason to look beyond Sorrento Tour Guides. They made sure all of our transfers were seamless, even when our plans changed. They also took care of last minute transfers, which I thought would be impossible with the time constraints. They made out trip so much less stressful and smooth. Fernando was our driver from Sorrento to the Naples airport. He was prompt, well dressed, the car was immaculate and nice and cool inside. He asked if we were comfortable and provided us with a breakfast bar (4:45 am pick up). He was so professional and personable giving us history of his home town which we passed on way. Nando was exceptional. He picked us up on time from the hotel and took us to the Amalfi Coast. Along the way, we stopped at the ceramic factory where I found wonderful souvenirs that otherwise would have been missed. He offered to pick us up early if we wanted.
